Joseph Gordon-Levitt nearly spoils his dinner in this artsy animation titled Strawberry Bootlaces. The bizarre short looks like something James Franco would do but instead, the Dark Knight Rises actor, 31, promoted the project via Twitter on Monday.

"You can catch them at plenty of shops watching, waiting to catch a customer's fancy," JGL says of the candy in his best British accent as the somber sounds of a piano play in the background.

"You end up eating a whole bag [of strawberry bootlaces] in an afternoon," he says. "Then you realize after your parents call you into dinner that's there's no way you can manage a full meal after consuming such a quantity of confectionery."
