Emilia Clarke is trading in her dragons for diamonds. It's been confirmed that the Game of Thrones actress is headed to Broadway and will reprise Audrey Hepburn's iconic role as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's.
"The goal of this version is to return to the original setting of the novella, which is the New York of the Second World War, as well as to resume its tone — still stylish and romantic, yes, but rougher-edged and more candid than people generally remember," Tony Award winner and the play's writer Richard Greenberg told Entertainment Weekly. "Capote was a great writer and a natural maker of plots and Breakfast at Tiffany’s has a drive that makes it very alluring to dramatize."
While Hepburn made Truman Capote's character famous, Clarke has done the same with author George R. R. Martin's Game of Thrones dragon queen Khaleesi. Clarke hits the stage of New York City's Shubert Theater as Golightly in February 2013, and the small screen in the hit HBO fantasy on March 31, 2013.
