It's clear that one Canadian couple had some sublime genes.
As revealed by the Associated Press, genealogists at Ancestry.com have uncovered gold in teen idol Justin Bieber's bloodline that links him to fellow Canadian stars Avril Lavigne, Ryan Gosling, and even Celine Dion.
The genealogy website claims that the four superstars are all linked to a Canadian couple, Mathurin Roy and Marguerite Biré, that was one of Quebec's first settlers 400 years ago.

According to the site, Bieber and Gosling are 11th cousins once removed, he and fellow Canadian pop star Lavigne are 12th cousins, and Bieber and Dion are 10th cousins thrice removed.
"The great thing about family history is that you never know what you're going to find," researcher Michelle Ercanback told the AP. "It was a very pleasant surprise."

The couple that links the stellar group moved to were married in 1637 and moved to Quebec, where Dion was born. The other stars were born in the neighboring province of Ontario. Both Bieber and Gosling were born in London (Ontario) and Lavigne was born 200 miles away in Belleville.
You can say that talent is simply engraved in their genes.
