After the success of Cupid's Chokehold, Travie's relationship with Katy Perry became the target of countless tabloid stories, which not only created strife within the relationship but also the band, further fueling Travie's ongoing drug addiction. "After a while, it wasn't our relationship anymore," he says in TheInsider.com's exclusive sneak peek. "It slowly but surely became the Internet's relationship."

By early 2009, his addiction took control. "I chose drugs over our relationship," Travie says. "It was becoming more and more unhealthy by the day." Travie goes on to say that he felt like Katy was using him and that he quickly began to question his role in their relationship, leading to their split in 2009.
