Cindy Crawford was one of the most intriguing women of the '90s. Her enthralling beauty quickly made her one of the most famous supermodels in history, and she graced the cover of top fashion magazines.

This Pop Culture Rewind takes you back to this day in 1993, when Crawford's global attention was growing rapidly and interest in her personal life was growing at an even faster rate, especially when it came to her marriage with then-husband Richard Gere.

As models use their body as a valuable asset, a pregnancy has a magnified importance for a model. So, when Crawford had settled down into her marriage, everyone wanted to know if she would be expanding her family.

"Yeah, that's why we got married," she says of the prospect of having children. "The second we got married, everyone's was like 'So, so, so...' and...I don't think it's uncommon to want to be married for a year or two before...you make another change and have a baby. Your life keeps changing and changing and changing."

The then-27-year-old model, who had been married two years before, reveals her personal experience with marriage. As she notices, although her marriage is going well at the time, her previous conception of marriage was undermined by experiencing it.

"For me, it was 'When I get married my life's going to start,' and then I got married and it was great but wasn't that different, and I realized...my life started 20 years ago," she says in the video flashback. "I still have to make myself happy. I know everyone says that, but when you experience it for yourself...it's a different thing."

Crawford had her first child in 1999 with her second husband, Rande Gerber.
