In a new interview with Out magazine, Alicia Silverstone, 36, reveals her first boyfriend was gay -- exactly like her Clueless character Cher, who fell for the super-stylish Christian.

"I've had so many crushes on gay boys. My first love was so gay, and I didn't know. I used to defend him because everyone would say he was gay, but he'd say he wasn't," she recalls. "Then, about six years later, he had the big talk with me."

She also admits to having less than perfect gaydar.

On co-starring with Cheyenne Jackson on the Broadway show The Performers (which is about the adult film industry), she says, "I was just with a friend, and he was telling me Cheyenne is gay, and I didn't know that!"
