1. Born July 15, 1981 in Lancaster, PA -- the heart of Amish Country. He has three brothers and was raised by a single mother.

2. Studied business management at West Virginia University before pursuing acting.

3. Played Mason Lockwood during the second season of The Vampire Diaries but was killed off by Ian Somerhalder's character Damon. He then returned to Mystic Falls for a special appearance during the show's third season.
