Justin Bieber won three awards Sunday night at the American Music Awards on three nominations, but looming in the background was his apparent breakup with Selena Gomez, which became a hot topic on the red carpet. TheInsider.com's Keltie Colleen found out Bieber's good friend Sean Kingston's thoughts on the matter.

"To be honest with you, that's my best friend. I wish nothing but the best for him," said Kingston, who was featured on Bieber's debut album. "He's going to be alright. He's Justin Bieber; he'll be fine."

As for his favorite breakup song that he would recommend, Kingston mentioned Taylor Swift's latest hit, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," as his choice. Swift, who is no stranger to breakup songs, explained her beliefs on how music can ease a breakup.

"For me, music is the way that complex emotions become more simple [sic]," she said. "That's why I write songs about my life. That's why we turn to music when we don't understand what's going on."

Rapper 50 Cent disagrees with Swift's breakup song theory, and questioned the purpose of Bieber and Gomez listening to breakup songs when they have so much to look forward to in their lives.
