Tori Spelling recently sat down with The Insider's Debbie Matenopoulos to talk about her upcoming ABC Family holiday film The Mistle-Tones, where she also revealed details about her complicated pregnancy during shooting the film.

Tori was in the early stages of her pregnancy with her fourth child, Finn, and couldn't tell anybody about the scary complications she was experiencing.

"It was difficult because it was the very early stages and I obviously couldn't tell anybody yet, and actually, the condition I had when I had Finn -- the placenta previa -- hadn't been diagnosed yet," Tori said. "But I had had my first bleed before I filmed the movie, so I had that kind of in the back of my head, like out there performing, and then I'd go back to my trailer and be like, 'I don't know if I'm even pregnant anymore, I don't know what's going on.' So it was great times, and then kind of scary at the same time."

Aside from suffering from placenta previa, which caused her to have massive internal bleeding, she also revealed more about the complications she had after the birth of Finn. Tori underwent a C-section which split open, and had to undergo emergency surgery three weeks after giving birth.

"Apparently, it can happen," she said. "These are things you don't know as a mom. You know, I didn't know about placenta previa before I had it. I didn't know when you have a C-section, these are the potential risks that can happen so ... you live and learn."

Tori also discussed her openness with her fans, most recently displayed in her new web series DocumenTORI, where she shares personal home footage of such intimate moments as Finn's birth and her daughter Hattie's first steps.

"I think being in the public eye, you have two choices. You can either, you know, shun the whole thing and people kind of form their opinion on who they think you are and the little bits they see of you and what people write about you, or you can kind of share your own story," she explained. "I love people and moms and women and kids obviously, so why not be completely honest? I'm not embarrassed about anything."
