Say What!? The Patrick Schwarzenegger Edition
The 17-year-old son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, Patrick Schwarzenegger, is getting rid of the Schwarzenegger, or at least he is on Twitter. After the shocking news of his father's infidelity and subsequent secret love child with rumored-to-be Mildred Baena, a 20-year member of the household staff, Patrick changed his last name on Twitter from Schwarzenegger to Shriver to show support for his mother.
On Tuesday, the teen tweeted a quote from rapper Fort Minor: "Some days you feel like sh-t, some days you want to quit and just be normal for a bit, yet i love my family till death do us apart. #family."
Although I am currently holding my judgmental tongue on his song selection (I'd probably pick overly melancholy lyrics from New Order or The Cure), I have nothing snarky to say to the name change and tweets. As the child of divorce (albeit a much less public one), I know the whole thing is just sad, no one wins and everyone gets hurt in these situations. The Schwarzenegger kids went to the same high school as I did and thinking about trying to deal with this insanity my senior year (or any time) there -- seems horrifying. So I have no spoutings of sass for the Twitter-loving teen, except to say that I hope it all gets better for the members involved and especially the children (all of them) affected by Arnold's deception.
However, do not fret! I have a feeling that in the near future, Arnie is going be a key player in my "Say What?!" hit list -- so keep clicking back! Trust me, I have no qualms about giving the father-of-who-knows-how-many a severe tongue lashing for his wicked ways -- although he might like that too much.
