We all remember Mr. Rogers, but I guarantee you've never seen him this way… PBS has teamed up with mash-up artist John D. Boswell to Auto-Tune the late children's show host and transform his insightful rhetoric into a melodic and memorable tune called Garden of Your Mind.

"When we discovered video mash-up artist John D. Boswell, aka melodysheep, on YouTube, we immediately wanted to work together," says PBS. "Turns out that he is a huge Mister Rogers' Neighborhood fan, and was thrilled at the chance to pay tribute to one of our heroes. Both PBS and the Fred Rogers Company hope you like John's celebration of Fred Rogers' message."

I love that it was PBS that reached out to Boswell to create this masterpiece mashup, and it just goes to show how out there Fred Rogers really was – and how keenly he could zero in on the imagination of a child, which sadly dissipates as we get older.

This is the first in a series of PBS icons to be remixed, and I can't wait to see what's next…
