Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter takes a bite out of the box office this weekend in theaters, and just for fun, FreddieW Gamez has re-imagined the ass-kicking 16th president in old-school, 16-bit Nintendo style! Watch the video and enjoy, retro gamers…

Unfortunately you can't actually play the game, but you can feel the implied nostalgia of the side-scrolling action as an axe-swinging Abe Lincoln cuts down killer vamps and other villains through environments inspired from the movie.

Watch for such bonus points with "Killing Spree!" and "Speech Attack." It's tempting to click on the flashing "Player 2 Press Start" graphic on the top right in hopes of joining the game, but alas, no dice.

FreddieW also connected with Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter director Timur Bekmambetov for action inspiration. You can watch that video HERE.
