A Third Oscar For Meryl?
A new trailer has just been released for The Iron Lady, Meryl Streep's biopic of Margaret Thatcher -- a.k.a the movie that will snag her a record-breaking 17th Academy Award nomination.
Yes, I'm saying that based solely on the trailer, but did we really need to see the Oscar-staple in this Academy-bating biopic to know that it would lead to her name being called on nomination morning?
While this UK trailer hints at some lighter moments that add up to Miss Congeniality + The King's Speech, there is a dramatic turn halfway through that shows you exactly why the living legend chose to tell this tale.
The Iron Lady opens on December 30 in NY and L.A. on December before going wide on January 13.
