Jonathan Lipnicki Doesn't Want to Be Typecast
Remember Jonathan Lipnicki, the cute little guy who played Ray Boyd in the movie Jerry Maguire? Well he's all grown up now and he recently spoke to The Insider about his amazing physical transformation and how he's gone from child star to adult actor!
"Well, for me, I never wanted to become a gimmick," Lipnicki said. "I want longevity in my career and that's been the most important thing so I've just been really picky with what I've chosen to do."
Jonathan's strive for longevity is actually one of the reasons he's totally transformed his body. "I've always been a pretty active person but … my acting coach Robert Carnegie said to me one day after class- 'You gotta push yourself in everyday life. You gotta push yourself whether it's working out, reading more books, whatever it is, you gotta be your best to be an actor.'"
And he's already seeing the fruits of that labor! Jonathan is starring in two indie films (For The Love of Money and Tag) and is producing a third, Broken Roads with Sally Kirkland. For those of you who want to see more of Jonathan - in addition to our exclusive video above - then be sure to check out For The Love of Money next summer because he has a shirtless scene!
