5 Questions with Kermit the Frog
Disney's The Muppets is 2011's most joyous celebration of friendship, self-worth and old fashioned musical numbers -- a fact I simply had to share, so I rang up Kermit the Frog. .
What? You don't do that?
Chatting with Mr. Green was one of the best moments of my life, and I've decided to share my five favorite questions from our chat ... because the other seven were just filthy. Seriously, I never knew frog's had such salty tongues.
Insider.com: True or False: is it easy being green?
Kermit the Frog: True. Amplification: For complete details see the song Being Green.
Insider: The Muppets had an amazing first weekend at the box office, but was still beaten by Breaking Dawn -- do you wish your movie had more vampires or six packs in your movie?
Kermit the Frog: Actually, the original cut of the movie had a six-pack of vampires in it, but we felt it didn't work with the rest of the movie so we cut it. (Oddly enough, the 12-pack of werewolves stayed ... but you have to watch very carefully or you miss them. )
Insider: In the movie, we see Jason Segel as a Muppet and Walter as a man, which celebrity do you think looks the most like you and why?
Kermit the Frog: Tom Hanks. If he was a bit shorter and greener or I was taller and had hair, we'd be twins.
Insider: What’s the secret to working with your girlfriend?
Kermit the Frog: Do whatever she says and no one gets hurt.
Insider: What would your opening number have been if you’d been asked to host The Oscars?
Kermit the Frog: If we were hosting, Miss Piggy wanted to open with her three-hour medley of every movie song ever written. That may be why they asked Billy Crystal to come back. We love Billy and know he’s going to be hilarious ... as always.
