Johnny Depp: America's Favorite Actor
Although the success of his latest movie (The Rum Diary brought in only $13 million) seems to contradict this, the latest Harris Poll reveals that Johnny Depp is America's Favorite Actor.
The poll, which has been conducted since 1994, notes that Johnny (who also came out on top last year) was tops not only amongst women, but also Republicans, Independents, conservatives, liberals and all age groups except those who were older than 66.
As for Democrats and moderates, Denzel Washington (#2) is their favorite while Clint Eastwood (tied for #2) is tops with men and George Clooney (#6) wins with the over 66 crowd.
Rounding out the Top 5 is Tom Hanks, who came in at number 4 and John Wayne at number 5.
The rest of the list breaks down like this:
#6. George Clooney
#7. Sandra Bullock
#8. Harrison Ford
#9. Will Smith
#10. Adam Sandler
The Harris Poll surveyed 2,237 adults between December 5 and 12, 2011.
