In the film directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller, Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum) join the police force and are put in the secret Jump Street unit to utilize use their youthful appearances and go undercover in a local high school. As they switch their guns up for backpacks, Schmidt and Jenko investigate a violent and dangerous drug ring. The two rookie cops learn that high school is nothing like their days of yesteryear, and are forced to come face to face with the terror and anxiety of being a teenager again and all the issues they thought they had once left behind.
