In My Week with Marilyn, Michelle Williams channels Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe with an Oscar-nominated performance. The film follows Monroe during her 1956 visit to London, when she was filming The Prince and the Showgirl with Laurence Olivier (played by Kenneth Branagh), a notoriously tense shoot. Monroe was honeymooning with her new husband, playwright Arthur Miller (Dougray Scott). After Miller left London, film set assistant Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne) introduced Marilyn to some of the pleasures of British life in an effort for her to get away from the pressures of Hollywood life -- and the two produced an unexpected chemistry.
