"I really like playing darker roles and getting inside the head of people that do things that just seem a little off or crazy," Holmes says. "It's so challenging to play these different characters, so it makes me excited."

As for acting out the intimate scenes that come with the territory of "naughty girl" roles, Holmes reveals that it's easier for her to act out those scenes then emotional scenes.

"I always think it's harder to…cry and get really upset in front of a bunch of people you don't really know that well then it is to do something like that" the then-23-year-old actress evaluates.
