We're inching closer and closer to the global premiere of Marvel's The Avengers, so clips and sneak peeks from the surefire superhero blockbuster have begun bowing across various platforms.

First out was a scene that alleviated some Widow worries. I mean, how integral a role could Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow play on a team rounded out by a genetically engineered human-being, a genetically engineered green giant, a billionaire encased inside a supersuit that is armed with various weapons and a Greek God when her biggest asset is dat ass. And a gun.

Super Avengers Images!

Then I remember she'd be speaking Joss Whedon's words, and if anyone knows how to write a kick-ass female character, it's him!

The next clip premieres on The Late Show when Cobie Smulders came by and served up our first good look at Maria Hill, leading the charge. Then, finally, a showdown (verbal, not physical) between Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark and Tom Hiddleston's big bad Loki.

Yep. This movie's gonna be the jam.

Marvel's The Avengers opens May 4
