James Van Der Beek is having a moment.

The actor, who hit up Trident's Liberate Fun Tax Day Event yesterday in LA, just snagged a role alongside Kate Winslet in Jason Reitman's new movie. In Labor Day, he'll play one of the cops investigating the potential kidnapping of a mother and son.

This comes hot on the heels of a great opening for his new sitcom, Don't Trust The B---- in Apartment 23, which only gets better in subsequent weeks. In tonight's episode, James decides to teach an acting class but can't seem to escape his Dawson persona.
