The latest videoblog from the James Bond Skyfall production details location shooting in exotic Shanghai, featuring a scene in a high-rise bar that's reminiscent of the Tokyo spot used in Sofia Coppola's Lost in Translation with Scarlett Johansson and Bill Murray. And is that a casual sweater Bond is wearing over his tie?

It looks like Skyfall director Sam Mendes is making a variety of detailed changes, from Bond's stubbly look to his more casual wardrobe seen in this videoblog, promising to humanize the character we've only managed to scratch the surface on after more than 20 films.

Rather than being lost in translation, it looks like Shanghai will provide one more amazing notch to the 007 series travelogue with its old-world architecture juxtaposed with neon-soaked highways and Blade Runner-esque billboards. And don't be surprised if Bond just happens to be fluent in Mandarin – or Shanghainese, for that matter.

Watch the production videoblog for scenes featuring Bérénice Marlohe as Severine, Ola Rapace as the mysterious Patrice and of course, Daniel Craig as 007.

Skyfall arrives in theaters November 9.
