Blood & Bootlegging in 'Lawless'
The success of HBO's Boardwalk Empire has inspired a renewed interest in the violent and opportunistic bootleggers of the Prohibition era, and now the true story of the infamous Bondurant Brothers is hitting the big screen with a dusty, blood-soaked epic gangster tale starring Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy, Jason Clarke, Guy Pearce, Gary Oldman, Jessica Chastain and Mia Wasikowska. Watch the Lawless trailer…
The Bondurant Brothers (played by LaBeouf, Hardy and Clarke) were three bootlegging siblings who made a run for the American dream in Prohibition-era Virginia. In Lawless, their loyalty is put to the test as the authorities close in and corrupt officials want a piece of the action.
