Rumor had it that a new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises would be attached to copies of Marvel's The Avengers (coming out Friday) and it would seem that rumor to be true as the expanded spot has just smashed its way online.

Much more Cat-action is glimpsed throughout as Anne Hathaway even gets a roundhouse kick in, while Bane's revamped vocals also make their big debut. Finality is a major theme running throughout the trailer as almost all the characters make repeated references to "the end" while very ominous music plays. Equally omnipresent is the implication that Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne won't live to see the end credits.

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters on July 20.
