Sacha Baron Cohen's The Dictator invades theaters across America on Wednesday, prompting moviegoers to ask, "Who exactly is this guy?"
Directed by Larry Charles (Bruno, Borat), the political satire is "the heroic story of a North African dictator who risks his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed."
Sacha Baron Cohen portrays the heroic Dictator, Admiral General Aladeen, and co-star Anna Faris explains, "Everything about him shifts, and sometimes you don't know which Sacha you're going to get -- if you're going to get Aladeen or you're going to get Sacha. But it's really amazing. You always have to be on your toes with this project."
Ben Kingsley, also in the film, says, "It brings me back to that exquisite feeling of giggling your head off as a child when you know you're not really supposed to laugh. It's that delicious knife edge, which is political satire at its best."
