Musician, fashion designer ... and short film director?
Kanye West is proving he really can (or at least will try to) do it all, with the debut of his "short art film" Cruel Summer.

Premiering May 23, his latest larger-than-life project is "a fusion of short film and art installation ... an immersive '7 screen experience' for the eyes and ears unlike anything West has attempted before." His long-time pals Aziz Ansari and Kid Cudi are starring in the hush-hush project, in which the multi-talented rapper is listed as the writer, producer and director. And this being Kanye, his artsy film won't be debuting in just any old place -- it's screening at this year's super A-list Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.

Of course these days, where Kanye goes, Kim Kardashian will follow, so expect an appearance from Kimye in France.
