Julianne Hough is quite the multifaceted star with her many talents that include dancing, singing, and acting. As such a talented individual, when it came time for her to display her stripping and pole dancing skills for her new film Rock of Ages, the 23-year-old star says she had no trouble owning the craft.

"I'm actually pretty good at that, which makes me wonder what happened in my previous life," Hough said. "Funny enough, I don't wear a lot of clothes when I dance and it's very sexy, so it wasn't too hard to get into the motion of it."

Although it wasn't too hard for her to learn her moves on the stripper pole for the new musical film, the two-time Dancing with the Stars champion admitted that pole dancing isn't as simple as it appears.

"My arms were ripped," she said of the training she underwent for the role of a waitress named "Sherrie." "Just the athleticism was more than people think. It's not a bunch of booty shaking."

Hough, who launched her acting career in 2010 with the musical film Burlesque, talked about what it was like for her as a growing actress to work with big movie stars like Tom Cruise and Catherine Zeta-Jones for Rock.

She said that while she always wants to live up expectations as an actress, there are two sides to working with superstar actors. "It's intimidating and you want to do your best and live up to their level but, at the same time, they're so good at what they do that it's almost like they're making you better," she said.

With such a star-studded ensemble cast, even R&B singer Mary J. Blige was star-struck when meeting some of her co-stars like Catherine Zeta-Jones. "It was crazy 'cause she was shaking and I was shaking [too]," Blige said of their first encounter.

While Blige was well-prepared for the singing parts of her role, she revealed that she strived to improve her acting to remain on par with her talented co-stars.

"The acting part is the part that I wanted to do the work on so I got [an] acting coach and I just really wanted to let them see me working for the part and not, 'cause I got the part, just relax," she said.
