The Hunger Games' Elizabeth Banks is back in theaters this weekend with People Like Us, a new drama that not only offers up Elizabeth's most moving performance to date, but one that will also leave you a sobbing mess in your seat. Granted you have intense daddy issues.

In the film, Elizabeth plays Frankie, a recovering alcoholic and mother to troubled teen whose life gets a recharge when a stranger, Sam (played by Chris Pine), comes into her life. But for Sam, the meeting isn't chance at all -- turns out they're secretly siblings, and Sam's now-deceased father willed Frankie $150,000 and tasked Sam with delivering the cash.

When I sat down with Elizabeth this week in NYC, I was dying to know how she found the thin line between love and incest in terms of how she played the character. Additionally, I learned what the on-screen bartender makes for herself off-screen and why there's nothing better than a good, drunken cathartic cry.

People Like Us is now playing.
