Jason Statham - Movie Mad Libs
While Jason Statham's movies typically seem to have been scripted via Mad Libs (MALE NAME, a SUPER SPECIFIC PROFESSION WITH SPECIALIZED SKILLSET, is forced to rescue FEMALE NAME, a UNIQUE NOUN, while being chased by EVIL NOUN), Safe feels like more than your average actioner.
Much of that was accomplished by director Boaz Yakin insisting on eschewing CGI and executing nearly every stunt on set. That means Jason is hand-to-hand and kick-to-kick with the villains he faces to play Luke Wright, a former elite NYC detective who is forced to rescue Mei, a Chinese math prodigy, while being chased by both the Chinese and Russian mob.
TheInsider.com has an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming DVD, where Jason and Boaz explain why it was so important their stunts be performed practically.
Safe hits DVD on September 4, click here to pre-order.
