Reese Witherspoon has made dozens of films and earned a slew of awards, but this Pop Culture Rewind takes you back to when the now-adored actress didn't have a film to her name.

In 1991, Witherspoon was 15 years old and had just landed her first film, The Man in the Moon, in which she portrays a young girl who falls in love with her neighbor, portrayed by Jason London.

Even as a young teen, we see her as charismatic as ever when she is asked how she thinks the film will stack up against films like Terminator 2, which was a huge box-office hit.

"Even if this doesn't do really as well as we really hope it does, it's O.K.," she says in the featured video flashback. "Just as long as we touched a few people, it's really worth it."

As she looks forward towards her future as an actress, the humble Witherspoon admits that she envisions herself as a successful actress, but turns the focus back to the film.

"Well, I do, but I feel like this is a marking point in our career and it's gonna be tough to ever really top this one," she says.

The half of that assessment that proved to be true earned Witherspoon a few awards nominations, including a nod from the Chicago Film Critics Association for most promising actress.
