Meet The Newest 'Twilight' Vampire!
As Cyndi Vega on Made in Jersey, Toni Trucks plays Martina Garretti's partner in crime. Literally. The sisters from another mister help solve Stark & Rowan's biggest legal conundrums and on November 16, Toni will come to the aid of another brunette as Mary, a nomadic vampire in the The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.
TheInsider.com caught up with the in-demand actress (she also stars in the can't-miss indie film Ruby Sparks) to talk about taking a stand in the Twilight franchise's final chapter, what fans can expect from the ending and why Robert Pattinson even brings out the squealing tween in her!
TheInsider.com: Who is Mary?
Toni Trucks: There's not much written about Mary, so it was a bit of an adventure for me too. She's one of the American Nomads, and in the books, when the threat comes to [Renesmee], The Cullens decide they need to assemble their strongest friends. Mary is one of the first people they think of. She's a crazy, cuckoo-for-cocoa puffs vampire. So they call her to help defend them.
Insider.com: What do you like about her?
Toni: The interesting things about all the new vampires you meet is that most of them come with a coven, a pack or a mate – but Mary is truly a nomad. She doesn't come because of prior relationships, she just comes to defend what The Cullens are trying to do. Then she gives em two fingers and is out of there. She won't be back for Christmas or anything [laughs]. She truly is a wanderer. This whole idea of having this house and family and tchotchkes around doesn't translate to her. I like that they've taken the time to establish some vampires who have a different ideology about how to exist in this vampire world.

Insider.com: It's tough to be unaware of the magnitude of this franchise, were you a fan coming in?
Toni: I had definitely tapped into my inner tween and seen all the movies. And I like looking at Rob Pattinson, don't judge me. Let's be serious, any actor honestly hopes to be a part of a giant franchise. To be in the zeitgeist like that is amazing ... but in reality, it's kind of hard to fathom. I was at The Grove when I found out, and caused quite a scene jumping up and down.
Insider.com: What do you think the fans are going to make of Breaking Dawn - Part 2?
Toni: They are nothing but loving. They lack all pretension. It's not like some other shows, movies or books where the fans get caught up in the details. Twilight fans are all about the love, and I think they're going to love it. Obviously there's sadness about it coming to an end -- it's bittersweet, but ultimately I think they're going to love it.

Insider.com: Kellan Lutz revealed the film has a new ending. Why was that important to add?
Toni: It's about making that leap from novel to cinema. There are things the audience needs to see in order to be satisfied at the end of this epic culmination in this final encounter. We need to have a few more things happen cinematically to satisfy everyone in order to make them feel like they're getting what they need.
