Say what you will about Lindsay Lohan and her well-documented personal struggles, but for this Pop Culture Rewind, leave your judgments at the door. Or at TheInsider.com's home page, for that matter.
It was fifteen years ago that an 11-year-old Lindsay Lohan was just a young girl with big dreams of becoming an actress. However, even at that tender age, she didn't want to be an average actress. She was thinking out-of-this-world, celestial. She wanted to be a star.

"Yeah. I want to act and direct," Lohan replies on the set of her first film, Parent Trap, when asked if she wanted to continue doing movies.
While Parent Trap was her first film, she had been well immersed in the entertainment world from a very young age. She began working at a child model at age 3 and appeared in dozens of commercials before she turned 10. So, when she was asked if she wanted to be a big star, there was no hesitation.

"Yeah," she says, nodding with a wide grin. "It's fun and I like the attention, and I don't know, I just like it. It seems cool."
Then, she was enamored with the idea of becoming a famous actress. She wanted to make her mark as the next Liz Taylor or Marilyn Monroe. She wanted the thrill of people knowing her name. She wanted everyone to know who Lindsay Lohan is.
And they do.
