'Paranormal Activity 4' Tops Box Office

Paranormal Activity 4 topped the box office over the weekend, maintaining the horror franchise's strong record.

The latest installment of the Paranormal series debuted to the tune of $30 million, topping Argo ($16.7 million) and Taken 2 ($13.3 million). The latter films were entering their second and third week, respectively.
The other major new release of the weekend, Alex Cross (starring Tyler Perry), landed in fifth with $12 million, just behind Hotel Transylvania, which reeled in $13.2 million.
