4 Minutes With Mae Whitman
From a very early age, I was jealous of Mae Whitman.
As a youngster, I developed deep, unwavering crushes on Sandra Bullock and Michelle Pfeiffer. Two actors Mae had the opportunity to work with in 1996's One Fine Day and 1998's Hope Floats.

And I'm pleased to say that my jealousy of the now 24-year-old hasn't waned one bit over the years as Mae's continued to work with some of my favorite actors on some of my favorite projects to date.
Now, sandwiched in between two tremendous roles (Amber Holt on Parenthood and Ann Veal in the new string of Arrested Development episodes), Mae is reprising her role as Tinkerbell in Disney's The Secret of the Wings.
VIDEO - Why I Loved Perks of Being A Wallflower
This energetic and enjoyable entry in Disney's Fairies franchise introduces a new winged woman, Periwinkle (voiced by Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale), who turns out to share a very strong connection with Tink!
I caught up with Mae in New York City to talk about all of these projects, and gush about her last film, The Perks of Being A Wallflower!
Parenthood airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on NBC while Disney's Secret of the Wings is now available on DVD! Click here to buy!
