The year 2012 is shaping up to be the year of cast reunions, so it comes as no surprise that Romy and Michele's High School Reunion stars Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow are encouraging a sequel to the 1997 cult classic.

In case you're not familiar with the comedy, it follows two women, Romy (Sorvino) and Michele (Kudrow), as they get into a lot of trouble when they go to their high school reunion and lie about their lives after senior year.

"It's all about the studio saying, 'Yes, we'd like to do a sequel,'" Sorvino told VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live host Carrie Keagan. "And we have a lot of fan support. It's really a cult classic. If people write to Disney and say, 'We want a Romy and Michele Reunion 2,' then it'll happen. That's the only way it's going to happen."
