All good things must come to an end, and for the cast of The Twilight Saga, the end is looming. On Monday night at the Los Angeles premiere for Breaking Dawn--Part 2, the cast expressed mixed emotions as the vampire film franchise unwinds with its final film soon in theaters.
"It's weird, and we all said it, I think, towards the end now we're starting to get a little emotional because this is it," said Ashley Greene ("Alice Cullen"). "I think if we have to end it, it's a really great way to go out. I think we're on such a high note, and I like the fact that we're stopping the series because Stephanie Meyer didn't write any more books, not because people lost interest."

Greene's on-screen adopted sister, Nikki Reed ("Rosalie Hale"), expressed similar feelings, telling The Insider's Brooke Anderson that being at the premiere for the final Twilight film was a surreal experience.
"I just can't believe it's actually over," she said. "We've been talking about it being over for so long; it's just hard to absorb that this is the last moment. I'm trying to be out of my own head right now and just take it all in and it's almost impossible to do."

While the Twilight women were emotional about the end of the franchise, some of the men conveyed happiness to end the franchise under the current circumstances.
"It feels good getting a chance to put away a character," said Jackson Rathbone ("Jasper Hale"). "As an actor doing a film, you usually live with a character for a month, two months, three months and then you put 'em away. We've been living with these characters for five years, so it's definitely been intense but it's been a wonderful experience."
