Drake Discusses Fame, Family and Toronto
Drake is becoming a prominent figure in music today and the hip hop artist can add another accolade to his flourishing career when he was recently awarded the Canada Walk of Fame's Allan Slaight Award.
This prestigious honor is bestowed upon young Canadians who are making a positive impact in the arts, sports or philanthropic worlds, something the Toronto native can attest to at this stage of his career. ET Canada's Cheryl Hickey got to talk to the recording artist backstage regarding his success and everything that comes along with it.
When asked how he copes with his stardom getting in the way of doing everyday things, the singer replied, "I miss the anonymity." He added, "I miss the freedom of being able to move through the city and just observe."
Despite his notoriety issues, Drake is still continuing to make strides to show he's not a one album wonder. His sophomore effort, Take Care, is set to drop on November 15 and he already has two singles to hold the masses over until then: Headlines and his latest, Make Me Proud, which features Nicki Minaj.
