J.Lo Gives Back to the Children
October 26, 2011
Music superstar Jennifer Lopez appeared at a press conference recently in Los Angeles with her sister Lynda Lopez, with whom she founded the Maribel Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of women and children and raising the level of medical care available to them.
At the event, the two sisters were pleased to announce a partnership with Samsung and Best Buy, with the two companies pledging a total donation of $500,000 to the Maribel Foundation. A portion of the proceeds from the purchase of Samsung products at Best Buy stores around the country will be donated to the charity.
Watch the video to hear Jennifer talk about the heartfelt efforts of her foundation, in particular the organization's telemedicine program, which uses telecommunications technology to remotely treat patients.
