Patrick Stump: One 'Punk' Boy
If you are anything like me, you have been going through a Patrick Stump withdrawal for the last ... 3 years. I've been dance, dancing all alone. Where has my sweet, pageboy hat wearing little front man been?
Apparently he has been in a far away land, getting sexy, getting some really cool suits made and recording his solo debut record Soul Punk.
Soul Punk is a cornucopia of musical styles, with Patrick's perfect voice the through line. If you have been weirded out by "solo records" from your favorite bands before, do not let this freak you out. This record is just two steps away from all the things you loved about FOB. Lyrics that will break your heart mixed with pop punk and the Jackson 5. Love.
The best track on the record is Allie.
I'm not broken-hearted, I'm just kinda pissed off.
I fangirled over Patrick at his show at the Viper room this week, and he informed me that he doesn't have a Halloween costume yet.
I asked him to be the Prince William to my Princess Kate.
