Is This The New Bond Theme?
Singing a James Bond theme carries almost as much pressure as playing 007 does, so naturally rumors about potential performers are as omnipresent in our world as easy women are in his. The latest Bond movie has, at one point or another, seen everyone from Amy Winehouse to Adele attached to sing the theme song, but now a new contender has leapt to the forefront, and this one actually has proof to back up his claims.
Former Oasis singer Noel Gallagher is actually set to meet 007 bosses about having one of his previously unreleased tracks become the theme song for Skyfall.
Of 2008's Freaky Teeth -- the song in question -- Noel actually said at the time, "I listened back to it thinking, 'That'd make a f***ing great Bond theme!" And while it should be repeated that this is just a meeting, one spin of the song reveals how right Noel is.
Although ... it is rather light for a Bond theme, so I'm guessing a major revamp of the track will be in order if they do decide to use the tune. Give Freaky Teeth a listen below and then decide: Bond or bad?
