D'Angelo Covers Soundgarden's 'Black Hole Sun'
As D'Angelo has been steadily returning to the music scene, an oldie but goodie has turned up in the form of a Soundgarden cover from the neo-soul singer.
An eight-year-old demo track of D'Angelo's recently hit the net where he covers one of Soundgarden's hits, Black Hole Sun. His version seems to leave out most of the original lyrics save for the chorus but still manages to incorporate that soulful feel fans of his have grown used to.
While this cover won't be on D'Angelo's upcoming album, The Roots' drummer Questlove insists he had nothing to do with its leak, or so he swears via Twitter. Well, whoever it was just probably helped D'Angelo's cause it sounds pretty darn good. Take a listen for yourself!
