Jack White Announces New Solo Album
January 30, 2012
It might be long overdue, but it's better late than never. Jack White announced on Monday that he will be releasing his first solo album called Blunderbuss.
"I've put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name," Jack told Reuters. "These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas."
Today, the former frontman of The White Stripes released the album's first single, Love Interruption, which can be heard on his official site.
The White Stripes, the two-person band that featured Jack and his ex-wife Meg, split up in February 2011.
Blunderbuss drops April 24.
