Gavin Rossdale Makes Fangirl Dreams A Reality
Fangirl flashback: I am in ninth grade. My parents have bought me my first compact disc. That disk is Sixteen Stone by Bush. I am convinced that the closest I will ever get to my current rock n' roll fangirl crush, Gavin Rossdale, is by pretending the boy who sits next to me in math class, the one with similar shaggy, unwashed hair and wearing the tight red red shirt is actually Gavin Rossdale.
Fast forward: The rooftop of the iconic Hollywood Towers in Los Angeles. The radio station 98.7 is hosting a private rooftop show with Bush, and the band invites me to the show. My ninth grade fangirl dreams are realized when I get to talk, one on one, with Gavin!
He was so lovely, I couldn't actually look him in the eyeballs as he talked about Bush's new single, Baby Come Home. Gavin told me exclusively that the video for the song will feature wolves and ballerinas, and was directed by Gwen Stefani's brother, Todd. He also sweetly talked about his favorite muse, "that one girl." Hint: it wasn't me ... darn.
