After we started talking about his new record Young Love, things seemed to get off topic. Mat admitted to me that he is probably the only man alive who likes to spend time in a craft store -- could he be any more perfect? I stayed to watch his sold-out show at the Mayan Theatre and it was delicious from start to finish. He sounded even better live, and the entire band was super tight and together.
