After we filmed this interview with Cassadee Pope, she ended up sticking around and playing me a song from the arsenal of tunes she is collecting for what will be her solo debut.

She insisted to me that the Hey Monday split was mutual, and that she and onetime hypeman Pete Wentz are still friends.

Cassadee is even sweeter and cuter in person and I’ve had the song on repeat since she played it. If this is any indication of what her solo record will be like, it’s going to be a very bright future for Cassadee. I love it!
