Kelly Clarkson Fronts New Singing Competition
Looks like Kelly Clarkson enjoyed her time as a mentor on The Voice because the American Idol winner is returning to the reality competition world with ABC's Duets -- a new series launching this summer that teams wanna-be superstars up with four of the industry's most successful singers (Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Nettles, Lionel Richie and Robin Thicke) in hopes of winning a recording contract with Hollywood Records.

"The simple fact that I get to go out and find two people that I believe in, sing with them every week, and help them accomplish their dream is an amazing thing that I can’t wait to be a part of," Kelly said in a statement. "The format is unlike anything that's out there right now, and the opportunity to work with such talent, both the other artists and contestants, is definitely going to make for an exciting competition," Robin added.
Duets breaks down like this: Kelly, Robin, Lionel and Jennifer can pluck their amateurs from anywhere and will work together on a performance that America will have the chance to judge when the duet take the live stage.
