Inside The Auction of Whitney's Collectables
March 23, 2012
It's been more than a month since the tragic passing of Whitney Houston, but her life and legacy live on in the iconic clothing and memorabilia of the late singer which, coincidentally, will hit to the auction block next week.
Coroner: Whitney Died of Accidental Drowning
While some criticize their sale occurring so soon after Whitney's death, Martin Nolan, Executive Director of Julien's Auctions says that a good number of the twelve items up for grabs were already included in the annual "Hollywood Legends" auction, unbeknownst to the public.
Of the notable pieces available are the vest worn by Houston in The Bodyguard, listed at $400, and a body-hugging black dress worn by the star, with a beginning price in the thousands.
Houston fans and other collectors can bid online, by phone or in person during the "Hollywood Legends" public sale going on now, and in person at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills, California on March 31 and April 1.
