Soundcheck: Bayside Ain't Just 'Killing Time'
By CHRIS FLECK
March 26, 2012
It was a warm day in March when Bayside front man Anthony Raneri invited me into his trailer, right before the band’s set at the Musink Tattoo and Music Festival. He asked me to bring in my old, scratched-up acoustic guitar so that he could strum a tune for all of us at TheInsider.com. Being a gentlemen and a music lover, I enthusiastically obliged.
The members of the Queens-based rock quartet aren’t ones for taking time off. Expect to see them at Bamboozle in May and throughout the entire run of the Warped Tour, starting in June.
After a few minutes of chatting, Raneri got down to business, playing Killing Time, the title track off Bayside's 2011 album. If you haven’t heard it yet, you need to run from your homes in an organized fashion and get the album.
Raneri promised that the band would take some time after Warped to work on what will be the follow-up to Killing Time. He hinted on Twitter a couple of weeks ago that he has already begun penning tracks.
