Band You Should Know: STATES
Sometimes rock n roll feels like a soap opera. Mindy White left Lydia. Mindy then met up with Bryan and Stephen Laurenson (formerly of the band Copeland) to form States. Honestly, it doesn’t matter how States came to be, I am just glad that they exist. I love female powered rock music, and States does not disappoint.
The funny thing is that when I sat down to chat with Mindy about States, she was this adorable, blonde chick who looked like she belonged more at cheerleading camp than at a music festival. She is so beautiful in real life, and I found it hard to believe that anyone could treat her bad enough to inspire some of the lyrics on States first full length album, Room to Run.
