Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson
Banana Pancakes is one of my all time favorite songs. It gets me so in the mood to ride bikes or take a walk to breakfast on a beautiful sunny day. Jack Johnson has the best beachy vibe on all of his albums. His acoustic version of Better Together is also a great bonfire song.
Chariot by Gavin Degraw
Whenever I hear Chariot it takes me right back to the summer road trips to San Diego I would take to compete in horse shows. The piano in this song is really pretty and I love the rawness of Gavin Degraw's voice. Great song to listen to in the car driving around with your friends!
Knee Deep by Zac Brown Band
This is the ideal summer song! It has such a such a feel good sound. The lyrics are all about letting go and having a great time by the water and listening to Knee Deep will make you want to do just that! Their song Where The Boat Leaves is also a great summertime pick.
Shadow Days by John Mayer
John Mayer is one of my all time favorite artists. He has a great rock quality to his songs and a strong guitar presence. Shadow Days has optimistic lyrics and a great beat. Very fun to listen to John's sultry sound on a summer day.
Everlasting Light by The Black Keys
Everlasting Light starts off with an awesome drum beat. This rhythmic song is perfect to play outdoors at a BBQ when you're just hanging with your friends. Love The Black Keys.
Bad by The Cab
I really like how upbeat this song is. It grabs you from the very beginning with the foot-tapping verse. It's definitely a fun one to blast on your iPod!
Brighter Than the Sun by Colbie Caillat
Colbie Caillat has such a pretty voice. I love her beachy, breezy, laid back tone. Brighter Than the Sun is just a fun song to listen to whether lounging by the pool or driving down the highway.
I Want To Hold Your Hand by The Beatles
This is the sweetest song ever. It makes me want to take a walk on the beach with my guy. Enough said.
Seaside by The Kooks
I like how simple Seaside is. The Kooks have a great raw sound that makes you feel like you're hearing them perform live. This is a song that makes you want to strum along while you sit on the sand.
Don't Stop (Color on the Walls) by Foster the People
Foster the People have such a cool sound. Ever since their last hit, Pumped up Kicks, I have been a huge fan. Don't Stop has a catchy chorus and I can bet you'll find yourself whistling the intro all day long!
I Get Around by The Beach Boys
How can you have a summer playlist without a Beach Boys song?! This one is super fun and a song that everyone can sing along to with the windows rolled down!
How To Rock airs Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. on Nick!
